A sun flare accents this photo of Freeman Academy’s Memorial Hall — known as the administration building for most of its almost 100-year-old life — Tuesday morning. The school’s primary classroom building will come to life next week when another school year begins; Freeman Academy begins the 2025-26 term Wednesday, Aug. 20. That’s when Menno starts, too, while Freeman Public will begin with a half-day Tuesday, Aug. 19.
