Emily Stern takes a photo of third grader Willow and kindergartener Asher in front of the historic stone marker outside Freeman Elementary on Tuesday morning, Aug. 19 — the first day of classes at Freeman Public Schools. The morning drop-off was a family affair for the Sterns and included dad/husband Matt and the Stern’s youngest, Myla.
It’s a noon dismissal at Freeman Public, with the first full day on Wednesday. That’s when Freeman Academy and Menno begin the 2025-26 school year, too.
