This shows the overflow crowd standing outside the room where the Turner County Board of Adjustment met on Tuesday for a hearing about non-compliance issues associated with Dakota Protein Solutions. More than 40 Freeman residents attended the meeting held in Miller’s Garage on the south end of Parker’s Main Street, with 10 of them speaking out about the odor coming from the rendering plant. Another hearing is set for Sept. 23 at 6:30 p.m. in Parker — likely in the Parker Community Building.
