PHOTO OF THE DAY: SITE TO BEHOLD

This photo appeared in the Hutchinson Herald 30 years ago this week and shows the future home of Pioneer Acres, which in 1996 would become the home of the Menno Pioneer Power Show. The photo was published in the newspaper along with an explanation that the Menno Pioneer Heritage Association had purchased the former Gideon A. Mettler farm and had started the process of cleaning up the yard to prepare it for future use as home of the Power Show. The narrative is part of the Menno history that appears in the Oct. 22 edition of The Courier.
