Brynn Rochelle Lundy was born on September 10, 1977 to Roger and Pamela Nelson of Sioux Falls, SD. She had one sister, Noel Christina Hanson, and one brother, Logan Bryce Nelson. She was married to Thomas F. Lundy in July 2001.

She met her husband Tom, when she was employed by Ampride. Following their marriage, she gave birth to their two sons, Jamison and Jaxson Lundy. Shortly after Jaxson’s birth, they moved their family from Sioux Falls to Marion, SD where they purchased Tom’s childhood home. It was in Marion where they raised their two sons in the quiet, small town environment, where they thrived.

Upon leaving Ampride, Brynn was employed by Midland Insurance Company for a number of years before moving on to CNA Surety. She then decided to pursue an education as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant). It was during this time, that an unforeseen illness made an appearance in the form of cancer, which put her education on hold. As her health improved, she once again picked up her studies and completed her schooling to get her CMA degree. As she walked across the stage to receive her diploma, the top of her graduation cap could easily be read, “Fought Like A Girl” with the recognizable pink cancer ribbon. Upon receiving her CMA degree, Brynn went to work at the Avera Prairie cancer center for integrative health on a “as needed” basis — a job she loved very much.

Brynn loved her family and friends and loved spending time with them. When she was little, she had an aversion to “fat” macaroni and cheese pasta, and would only eat the skinny ones. As she grew older, her love for shoes was limitless. She loved pigs and liked to collect small figures of them. She longed to go to Ireland (the Irish in her), and loved to devour medical facts.

Christmas was always special as she enjoyed decorating the house for the holidays. Each year as a tradition, she helped the boys make gingerbread houses and New Year’s Eve was spent with her husband, Tom, and the boys playing games at home and enjoying different snacks as they waited for midnight.

Brynn died May 1, 2019 at age 41.

She is survived by her husband, Tom; two sons, Jamison and Jaxson; parents Roger and Pam Nelson; sister, Noel Hanson, and her husband, Chris and their two children, Mallory and Sawyer; her brother, Logan Nelson and his two children, Noah and Mercedes; her Aunt, Toni Shutt, and cousin, Andrew; her grandpa, Roland Johnson; as well as numerous sisters and brothers-in-law and their children.
