After weeks — months, actually — of frustration and endured patience thanks to excessive and relentless moisture, farmers are finally in the fields cultivating and planting their crops. Fieldwork could be seen in all directions of Freeman early this week after a solid stretch of sun and drying weather. While it's late, some are still planting corn for feed with the soybean crop to follow. Look for a report in this week's Courier.
