Lynell Hofer sets up a sprawling model railroad set on the main floor of Heritage Hall Museum and Archives Thursday morning, April 28. Hofer and his wife, Pauline, have been spending a considerable about of time working with the railroad tracks and all of its accessories in preparation for Schmeckfest. Lynell is one of 12 "Heritage Pickers" that will be part of the afternoon programming each day of Schmeckfest. Twenty-minute time slots are set aside for each person to talk about their speciailty — from model trains to rural electrification to the small-town movie era.
