The Freeman Public Library staff, including Judy Graber, was busy Friday morning on a major project. They are rearranging the library collection by genre – regenrefication. Traditionally, books in libraries are arranged by the author’s name from A to Z. Now, mysteries, for example, will be grouped together, as will history, biographies, etc. That, says library director LeAnne Kaufman, will help make the library feel a bit more like a bookstore. The library is closed both Friday and Saturday for the project. Kaufman said they hope to complete the major task of moving the books today and then finalizing the project tomorrow in anticipation of Monday's opening with a new look for the library on Freeman's Main Street.
