This was a common scene during a waterlogged Wednesday in Freeman heavy rained pounded the region. With nowhere for the runoff to go, some streets were covered with water, ditches were full and many reported water in their basement. Freeman Academy dismissed school early because of flooding in its building, Freeman Public discussed at 2:15 p.m. because some rural roads were becomming impassable and both schools called off classes today. Rainfall amounted to about 2.20 inches yesterday and more than a half-inch since midnight. High winds are a reality today and light snow is falling, which is expected to continue through the afternoon, meaning it's going to be another unpleasant day for many.
