Hayes Sorensen, the 7-year-old son of Amy and Ryan Sorensen, does a trick off the diving board at the Freeman Swimming Pool earlier this week. Like dozens of other kids, Hayes had a ball at the pool earlier this week cooling off amidst the 90-plus degree heat.

Wollman, who is regular vendor at events like the State Track Meet and various community festivals, was in Freeman selling from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., and reported good sales. “We’ve been busy,” he said around 4 p.m. “I can’t keep up.”

This one-block stretch of road on the west side of the Freeman Public School campus remained closed Tuesday morning as city workers continued the repair at the intersection of College and Walnut streets. Additional concrete is being poured to fix the broken street caused by the hard winter and spring of 2019.
