Beulah Joan (Davis) Langerock, daughter of Kenneth and Ella (Wieman) Davis was born on April 1, 1936 on a farm near Monroe, S.D. She attended school near Parker, S.D.; Canistota, S.D.; Sioux Falls, S.D.; and Monroe. Beulah graduated from High School in Monroe in 1954 and attended Freeman Jr. College in 1954-1955. Beulah was united in marriage to Orville Langerock on Jan. 26, 1956 at Westside Evangelical Free Church in Sioux Falls. They farmed in the Marion-Canistota area until retirement, at which time they moved into Marion.
This marriage was blessed with two children: Lisa Ann and Larry Dean. This family grew as Lisa married Curt Matthies and Larry married Karolyn Hofer. Beulah enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Grandchildren: Kalah Joan, Kolleen Nicole, Koleman, Ray, Lincoln Andrew, Landon Dean, twins: Lawton Orville and Logan Robert and the late Abbie Langerock. Grandsons: Steven Luke and Russell Tennant. Great-grandchildren: Markus James and Harper Rae.
Beulah accepted Jesus as her Savior at a young age and her prayer is for each of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren to accept Jesus as their Savior. “I will wait for each one of you in Heaven. I love you all.”
She died Friday, March 30 at the age of 81 years old.
Grateful for sharing her life is her loving husband of 62 years, Orville; daughter Lisa (Curt) of Marion and Larry (Karolyn) of Marion. Grandchildren: Kalah (Steven) of Marion, Kolleen (Russell) of Mitchell, S.D., Koleman of Marion, Lincoln, Landon, Lawton and Logan all of Marion; great-grandchildren: Markus and Harper Luke of Marion; her sister, MaryEllen (Ron) Dykstra of Sioux Falls and brother-in-Law, Luverne (Erma) Langerock, Marion; many special nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Ella Davis, parents-in-law, Frances and Minnie Langerock, and granddaughter Abbie Langerock.
