Among the agenda items for the Freeman School Board meeting Wednesday night, Dec. 13, was a presentation from the eighth-graders as part of an English research project. The students pitched two ideas to the board — moving from a five-day to four-day school week presented by the boys and pursuing a one-to-one laptop initiative presented by the girls. Students pictured here are, from left, Bradey Kaufman, Justin Wollman, Dawson Munkvold, Jacob Swensen and Prestyn Olson. The board listened intently to each presentation and voiced their appreciation to the students for articulating their position so well. No action was taken, but board members appeared open to following up on the points the students brought to the board.
