Fifty years ago this week was “Betty Crocker Week Sale” at Jack & Jill in downtown Freeman — a grocery store located on property that today houses the southern portion of the Freeman Public Library.
Lester Lehmann, 88 of Freeman, S.D., passed away on Jan. 16, 2019 at Oakview Terrace nursing home.
Was it really 50 years ago? Many memories are still very vivid today, the half of which can never be told with the same punch.
We do not recall responding to any medical emergencies.
