This team won the Class 9A championship that year — the second of four consecutive titles won from 1996 to 1999. “I can’t describe it,” said the late head coach Jim Aisenbrey after the Flyers’ 44-24 win over the Garretson Blue Dragons in the DakotaDome on Friday, Nov. 7, 1997. “Other than my kid being born and getting married, this is the best thing.”
