Joyce Felsheim Schrag, age 98, of Parker, S.D., passed away Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020 at the Tieszen Memorial Home in Marion due to Covid-19. A funeral is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29 at the United Methodist Church in Parker. Visitation was scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 28 at the church. The service on Thursday will be live streamed at https://www.facebook/ParkerUnitedMethodistChurch. Due to Covid-19, the family request that guests wear a mask and practice social distancing at both opportunities to celebrate Joyce’s life.

Gertrude Witkop, 93, of Marion, S.D., passed away on Oct. 22 at the Tieszen Memorial Home in Marion. A service will be held on Thursday Oct. 29 at 11 a.m. at First Church of Monroe, with burial in the Spring Valley Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday at the church one hour prior to the service. The family encourages all guests and visitors to wear a mask and follow Covid guidelines.

Pauline DeHoogh, 96, of Sioux Falls, S.D., passed away on Oct. 5, 2020 at the Good Samaritan Village in Sioux Falls. Pauline Krabbenhoft was born Sept. 21, 1924 in Hubbard, Neb. to Paul and Alvina (Keim) Krabbenhoft. She graduated from Laurel High School in Nebraska and attended nursing school in Sioux City. Upon graduation, she began work at Lutheran Hospital in Sioux City in 1945. She later moved to Minneapolis and met Earl DeHoogh while working at a hospital. Earl and Pauline were married in 1950.

Marilyn (Mendel) Wolverton died Sept. 23, 2020, at Evergreen, Colo. surrounded by her family. There will be a memorial service celebrating her life at 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 25 at Bethel Church, Yale, S.D. Marilyn June (Mendel) Wolverton was born June 22, 1937 to Joseph David Mendel and Elizabeth Viola (Hofer) Mendel in Faulkton, S.D. In 1942 the family moved to a farm south of Doland, S.D. Marilyn graduated from Doland High School in 1955 and in 1959 she graduated from Wheaton College in Chicago with a degree in Education. She then taught first grade in Doland for two years.
