Virgil Munkvold, 73, of Viborg, S.D., passed away on June 20 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 26 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church of rural Irene. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 25 at Walter Funeral Home in Freeman. Virgil is survived by his wife Pat of Viborg; son Marcus (Stephanie) Munkvold of Elk Point, S.D.; daughters Vicki (Mike) Dvorak of Scotland, S.D.

Ruth was born in Magstadt, Germany on July 31, 1933 and became a U.S. citizen after her parents immigrated to the United States when she was a child. She accepted the Lord when she was 12 years old. Ruth graduated from Summerville High School, Summerville, N.J., in 1951 and attended Philadelphia College of the Bible.
